Oh Snap!

I only spent one summer with her.

She was twelve, I was ten. My father's work took us to some obscure town in the Middle of Nowhere, Ohio, for the summer. I spent most of it with her, sitting in her treehouse, learning every card game she knew.

I never beat her once, but the love of the cards stuck with me, as did the memory of her.

Now my work has brought me to Tokyo, and I've found a card game club to hang out at.

Of all the Gin joints in all the towns in all the world...
