I slowly made my way through the crowded bar, a drink in either hand. As I got to just near the door, my constant muttering of "excuse me, pardon me" was enough for the woman in front of me to turn around.
And it was my ex-partner, the woman I'd never gotten over.
Time stood still as we looked at each other, as I tried to think of something to say, and she seemed to be doing the same.
Until she saw the two drinks, sighed, and left, before I could even think to explain they were both for me.
