Innkeepers, guild masters, priests, they all said it, when
we asked about the most powerful mages in the land.
‘You want the best? You want Trolane.’
We had all, on several occasions, fought off demons and
gods, so obviously a mage worthy of us had to be the very best.
‘You want the best? You want Trolane.’
So we eventually we found this Trolane, and offered him
membership.
All too quickly, we found out that repetition of reputation
could be repudiated by results, as he would have put it, before he got eaten.
