Mother's Day

Whenever I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, or Christmas, but especially Mother's Day, she'd say the same thing, that she just wanted to spend time with her son.

So I'd end up getting her some combination of chocolates, flowers, and gift cards, and then spending the day with her. And she seemed happy, and obviously I didn't hate it, it was just the routine.

After she passed away on Mother's Day, I had to go through her belongings, including her files. Which is how I found out about the miscarriage.

She finally got her wish that day.
