Glory, one of the Earth's most powerful superheros, had learnt how to read Phil fairly well. Phil (he never told anyone his real name) could loop the day on demand. Most days, he was as surprised as anyone else about what was about to happen.
Some days, he'd make a quip right as she was about to, and she knew this was a danger situation.
And some days, he didn't have time for jokes, and those were the days she had to focus hard on.
But today, he's just staring at her, as if trying to memorise how she looks...
