The public defender had tried, oh how he had tried, to get through to his client. But every time he thought he'd gotten through, they'd shoot into another tangent about some obscure law from some more obscure jurisdiction that they somehow thought superseded all the actual laws of the country.
After a few hours of this, the public defender snapped and looked at his client directly.
"Look, I need you to understand this. You think there's some sort of magical code that can get you out of this? There is, but that code is "being stupidly rich", not just stupid!"
