Of all the reactions to this accusation she would have predicted as likely, a bemused smile would not have made her list. And yet that's what occurred.
"Of course I did. If I hadn't, you'd have turned me in without a moment's hesitation."
She considered this. She would have agreed with him but she was still angry.
"And are you lying about anything else?"
"Sure. So that you can't be held accountable for my actions and slash or go mad. But I'll be honest with you soon" he lied.
