She wore a bra, but no panties.
She wore a garter belt, but no stockings.
She wore a dress, a jacket, gloves, but no shoes.
She carried a phone, but no purse.
She carried a card, but no cash.
She carried the menus, the conversation, the bill, but no protection.
She ordered a starter, but no dessert.
She ordered for me, but without asking.
She ordered to go, after a few minutes.
She decided that her place was closer.
She decided that I approved.
She kissed me hello, kissed me in the hallway, kissed me in bed, but not goodbye.

Take
Take the time to smell the roses.
Take the chance of telling someone how you feel.
Take your time.
Take a holiday, when you're able to.
Take stock of your life.
Take care to be good to others.
Take care to be good to yourself.
Take compliments graciously.
Take criticisms only if they are in good faith.
Take a bag of ice to a party.
Take the scenic route when it's available.
Take the side of the underdog when they're right.
Take the side of the overdog rarely.
Take the extra slice of cake.
Take the cash in the register.
Take the chance of telling someone how you feel.
Take your time.
Take a holiday, when you're able to.
Take stock of your life.
Take care to be good to others.
Take care to be good to yourself.
Take compliments graciously.

The Purpose
Not that there was much of a point
To anything, sorry to disappoint
I know many of you were hoping
For one to use for your coping.
But no, this all was just chance
An unguided mess of a cosmic dance
If you found purpose in this mess
Then to this point I must really stress
You're welcome to have it for your own
To measure out your own lives that you've sown
But that's all it can be
Leave others alone and free
Their futures are theirs to decree
Not yours, signed, the force that will forever oversee
Notgod.

The Figure
Where the sky meets the sea, a figure waits.
It is female, it is male, it is human, it is not.
The figure awaits for the arrival of its replacement.
It is waited since this moment, since time began, since time ends.
All those who approach find themselves back where they began, with their desire to approach gone.
The figure does not move, but one can feel its eyes on you at all times.
The figure is huge, the figure is tiny. The figure is all, is none.
The figure is useful to scare children and fools into following rules.

Cycle
There once was a man.
There once was a woman.
Thus, there was once a couple.
There was love.
There was lust.
There was the warm satisfaction of angering parental figures.
Thus, there was determination to stick together.
There was frustration.
There was anger.
There was hatred.
But still was the determination to remain as a couple.
But then there was another man.
But then there was another woman.
Once again there was love.
Once again there was lust.
There was temptation.
There was openings.
Thus, there was a break-up.
And thus there was a man, there was a woman...
There once was a woman.
Thus, there was once a couple.
There was love.
There was lust.
There was the warm satisfaction of angering parental figures.

Problem Solution
Lots of little boxes, sitting in a row.
Lots of little people, shifting to and fro.
Lots of little dreams, hoping against hope.
Lots of little sins, the only way to cope.
Lots of little loves, bright spots in dark.
Lots of little lives, lived with no real mark.
Lots of little minds, unable to see from above.
Lots of little hates, incapable of love.
Lots of little problems, looking for a scapegoat.
Lots of little tricks, lies with a paint coat.
Lots of little troubles, needing a solution.
One big fix, but it'll need a hell of an absolution.

Every Day
Every day he came to the edge.
Every day he looked down over it.
Every day he saw the rocks, the water.
Every day he took a breath.
Every day he felt the urge to jump.
Every day he told himself he shouldn't.
Every day he thought about those he'd leave.
Every day he lifted one foot.
Every day he brought it back down.
Every day he turned around again.
Every day he walked back.
Every day he wondered if tomorrow was the day.
Every day he survived.
Every day he ensured was the same.
Until the day that wasn't.
Every day he looked down over it.
Every day he saw the rocks, the water.
Every day he took a breath.
Every day he felt the urge to jump.
Every day he told himself he shouldn't.

A To U
Six switches sat silently on the wall.
Flickable fixers, for frantic fixing of the issues.
Detailed descriptions didn't develop during my induction.
General guidelines graded gently on a curve instead.
Monitors monitored many model situations.
Issues induced index investigation and then flicks.
Tiny troubles take the top row.
Big bothers breed bottom flicks.
And all average actions associate with the middle.
Now, neverending nonsense nips across my eyes.
Can complete chaos come close enough to me?
Risk/reward really rolls repeatedly right to left.
Quick!
Engage!
Hours happen.
Let's look...
Jesus...
Order of operations out of alphabetical order!
Unacceptable.
Kill.

Passed Down
Heavy lies the crown on the head, so they say.
That's why I dreaded once I foresaw this day.
I never wanted to hold the power.
But they keep saying come the man, come the hour.
As a prince I know I'm blessed,
But then came my father's bequest.
My brother, he went mad in the war.
My sister, the holy light she has saw.
So despite my not being the legal heir,
I'm now seated on the big important chair.
As my father dies, I try to come to grips,
Until he whispers finally, "We all felt like this."

Home Town Pride
There once was a man from out west,
Who was sure that his home was the best.
No matter where he would go,
He'd talk about his home so.
But then one day, he ran into trouble,
A big biker man with too much stubble.
This guy did come from the east,
Although 'guy'... he was more like a beast.
They traded loud but friendly barbs,
Over an otherwise average hand of cards.
The two soon got to fighting,
Punching and kicking and biting.
Such a waste, as they both died.
And yet everyone knows the best is north side.
Who was sure that his home was the best.
No matter where he would go,
He'd talk about his home so.
But then one day, he ran into trouble,
A big biker man with too much stubble.
This guy did come from the east,

Our Last Moments
The time has come for us to die,
The end of all things, it is so nigh.
Five stages of grief are four too far,
Death has come to say au revoir.
We are all gone, soon, goodbye, farewell.
Time for the final, grand high death knell.
We will all end up in our own personal Valhallas,
Go directly, don’t pass go, don’t collect $200.
You trust me, I know, and I want you no pain,
So come, lie here, next to this gas main.
But before you do, just one last thing,
Sign these papers that give me everything.

TYSM
I don't want to admit what I think of you.
Because your worst suspicions are probably true.
I would say sorry, if that had any clout.
But that's not what our relationship's about.
This is not healthy, by any sane measure.
To want and need this much pain with my pleasure.
But I need your barbs and stings,
My life is built on these things.
I wish I wanted beatings, wish I wanted blood.
Those I can get, leave you in the mud.
But I need this manipulation, this gaslighting.
Because I need to know I'm right to keep fighting.
Because your worst suspicions are probably true.
I would say sorry, if that had any clout.
But that's not what our relationship's about.
This is not healthy, by any sane measure.
To want and need this much pain with my pleasure.

Quest For The Holy Crown
He was after glory, her quest was for power.
Both of these led them to the tower.
They agreed to fight side by side,
While their betrayals would bide.
They both knew each other would turn,
Once their desires they could earn.
No matter the challenge, they struck it down,
Until at last, they found the Holy Crown.
They both waited for the other to move,
Thus the other’s evilness they could then prove.
But neither of them did, they couldn’t do it,
Finally a backstab they couldn’t commit.
But this wasn’t the plan,
So the Crown summoned its hitman…

So Many
So many ideas, floating out of reach.
So many words, never to be given speech.
So many concepts, waiting there forever.
So many chances, if I was just more clever.
So many times, I’ve just rolled out with the tide.
So many people, I’ve cast, unknowingly, to the side.
So many outlets, if I only had the confidence.
So many rejections I’ve avoided, the natural consequence.
So many losses, not many wins.
So many walks, not many spins.
So many doubts, filling my mind.
So many days, I must have been blind.
So…
So…
So…
So many new days ahead.
