An Explosive Goodbye

I finally made eye contact with her.

Neither of us could speak, we just stared at each other. Her eyes began to slowly fill with tears as she looked at me.

I tried to force myself to look away, tried to focus on what was being said around me, but it was like trying to hear a whisper on the other side of the mountain. I was solely focused on her eyes.

Then the pistol was placed in my hand. I sighed, and aimed it at her, then spun and began firing.

Got three of them before we both died.
