On the outskirts of the village, leading to the dairy farms,
was a bridge. And underneath the bridge, there lived a troll. The dairy maids
who brought the milk to the village had to deal with him every time they
crossed the bridge. When they brought this up, the villages told them just to
ignore it, that it couldn’t really hurt them, that doing anything to it would
just make it stronger. But eventually, the troll, since no-one stopped it, got
greedy and ate up the dairy maids.
“Trolls can’t always be ignored. Sometimes they have to be
dealt with.”
