A Perfect Day

He awoke with sunlight streaming across his face, birdsong soft and melodious in his ears.

Before he could even clear his head, his beloved took him into her arms, her caress soothing him, even as she bared her sweet bosom for his approving gaze.

After breakfast, in which he ate like a king, he was entertained by a wonderful musical troupe, every song more beautiful than the last.

A leisurely bath, a relaxing nap, then dinner and sleep.

It was, all in all, a perfect day.

Shame he was only two years old and thus wouldn’t remember any of it.
