I found her sitting on the floor, staring at the body. I approached carefully, since the gun was still in her hand.
She waved the gun at me.
“I told you he was alive, that he’d framed me. But it’s fine, that double indemnity law means I can’t go to jail for killing him, ‘again’.”
I chose my words carefully.
