It’s hard to care, past a certain point.
Taken individually, each person lost is a tragedy, but like
that old saying goes, a million is a statistic.
I sometimes try to work out at what point I stopped caring.
When I was a kid, when I would always play solider and shoot all the bad guys?
When I was through basic training? When I got promoted to officer? When the war
began?
But victory is more important than a few deaths here and there.
We cannot let the enemy any further into our territory.
Nuke their lands.
And ours too.
