I once held her in high regard, but then she left.
I once paid attention to every word she said, but then she left.
I once held her when she cried, laughed, came, but then she left.
I once swore I would provide for her, protect her, honor her, but then she left.
I once saw her across a party, getting close to a young man, but then she left.
I once confronted her, and began to yell at her, trying to get her to apologise, but then she left.
And she was right to do so, I know now.
