I was pretty fortunate that I got to continue working on my
comic when it was bought off me. And then when they decided to make a movie
with her, I got to have input into casting and the like.
Despite knowing who had to play her given that I had based
her on one specific actress, I still sat in on all the auditions and screen
tests that they wanted, and several I suggested.
After all, there’s a difference between who I think can
actually play the part, and who I’m quite happy to look at wearing her costume.
