He was the greatest swordsman in the land, but old, and
looking to pass on his knowledge to someone worthy. But try as he might, no-one
impressed him before they died on his blade, until she appeared. After it took
him almost half an hour to beat her, he agreed to teach her.
The training lasted over a decade.
One day, when he felt she was ready, he attacked her.
After an hour, she landed a killing blow. As he began to
bleed out, she madly began to try and stop the bleeding, much to his annoyance.
She’d learned nothing.
