I was bound by the state laws on physician–patient privilege, and thus couldn’t go to the police with my suspicions. I mean, my patient kept telling me of his blackouts, about how he’d have dinner with his wife, and then pass out, and wake up in random locations with no memory of how he got there. And those locations kept matching perfectly with the scenes of the Unforgiving Murderer’s crimes?

Eventually, with my guidance, he accepted his crimes and gave himself up. Case closed, thankfully.

Until his wife killed me for taking away her alibi before she was finished…
