Writing History

The historians who bother to recount the details of what occurred in the throne room that evening don’t quite agree.

The version taught in schools is that the King and Queen were having a banquet for just them, with enough food to feed a village for a year.

The version found in adult history books has it being a combined banquet/orgy.

The illegal version says the two were having a quiet game of dominoes.

But most versions agree that the overthrowing was just and that the new People’s Government that evolved from the murders was better, all hail the Council.
