Mrs Cynthia Cooper struggled to sit up, looking around the
darkened room with confusion, before she managed to make out a figure in the
gloom.
“Billy Kensington?”
The man slowly walked into the light.
“Well, it’s been a while since I was Billy, but yeah, it’s
me.”
Mrs Cooper shook her head as she tried to think.
“I was… Some sort of party? Did I get a little… Tipsy?”
“Something like that. If you’ll just lie down again…”
She stared at her legs, or rather the wires and gears that
made up her legs, before the compensation subroutine kicked in.
