I looked around, hoping to find an escape route. But there
were mines scattered across my left, and the gunmen, sorry, gunpeople, had the
right covered. But since I still held the bomb’s remote detonator, they were
holding off, until someone up the chain of command turned up.
“Toss the detonator out or my boys and girls here will fill
you with more holes than swiss cheese, troublemaker. I’ll give you to the count
of six!”
I knew had to be thinking fast, but the weirdness of choosing
that number threw me long enough to give up and press ‘ignite’.
