Small Comforts

I was taught by my Capo that while there’s a place for big favors, a job for a daughter, help covering up a body, stuff like that, you should never forgo the little things. A man who owes the Family for one big favor is likely to do something big to repay it but resent you all the way through. But you keep a man in good cigars, or with a regular hooker, or you make sure his dealer stays in business, he’s yours for life.

Small comfort when he goes on a bad trip and grabs your gun though.
