The Marker



There’s a stone pillar about three quarters of the way through the forest. The vine slowly growing up the side is the only adornment, if it wasn’t for the perfectly formed dimensions you might think it was a natural occurrence.

Every year, the two local Conduits, the Master and the Apprentice, they trek out through the forest and check on it.

It’s an important job, as it protects the village, making sure that any outside threat is unable to advance further towards the village.

Occasionally you find a raider who came too close, choked to death by our Protector Vine…
