I could tell what the problem was the minute I walked in.
The mother looked to me, clearly on the end of her tether.
“Please Doctor, can’t you help me? I mean…” she wailed,
looking over at her daughter. Her daughter was engrossed in her video game,
lost to the world. She wasn’t quite at the level of obese but she was galloping
towards it, even sitting in my office caused her to sweat slightly.
I smiled and quickly wrote out a prescription.
“Just down the hall is the mind-chem lab. A solid case of Bulimia
will sort this out.”
