Aesop 2.0: 7. The Warthog And The Elephant

The warthog was fresh from under his mother’s nose, and had decided to enjoy himself. He chased female warthogs, ate garbage, and wallowed in muck just because it felt good. During one wallowing, he looked up and saw an elephant staring. The warthog stuck out his tongue and ran away laughing. Years later, the warthog was looking for bugs when it found itself in the path of some running elephants. It cried out, but the head elephant looked down and said “I remember you…” as it crushed the warthog.

“Be careful what you do and say, it will be remembered.”
