Ties That Bind

Mother and daughter is supposed to be a bond that is unshakable, a love that is deeper and stronger than man can comprehend.

Kathryn and Ashley didn’t have that.

Nothing Ashley did was right in her mother’s eyes, and everything Kathryn said was insulting or old-fashioned nonsense. Bob tried to keep the peace between his wife and daughter, he tried to get them to see things from each other’s view, but it was impossible to find common ground.

Hell, the only thing they had in common was that they both hated Bob’s bowties.

And bad puns, they hated them too.
