Walking Journey

I walked for miles.

I found a small pond. I drank. I slept.

I walked for miles.

I heard the buzzing sound overhead, and stopped underneath a rock overhang long enough for it to go away.

I walked for miles.

I came across a dead pig, taken down by some sort of predator. I ate, I did my business, I walked for a mile, and then slept.

I walked for miles.

I saw a city in the distance, shining brightly, like a jewel in the sand. I paused, and then turned around, the way I had come.

I kept walking.
