Every time a new Leader of the tribe was needed, the tribe
would split. The Mothers, The Providers, The Elders, The Tribe. Each would pick
one tribe member to be Leader. If all of them chose the same person, then the
feast would be longer, larger.
However, there was rarely such consensus.
Instead, when there was more than one person, the chosen
candidates would gather and head up to the Ancestor’s Peak, and only one, the
new Leader, would return.
That would be whichever of them won when someone realised
they could just push the others off the Peak.
