With so many balls in the air, it seemed inevitable he’d
have to drop one, to use the metaphor everyone had agreed upon.
His job and his wife, those were two balls that most would
agree he had to keep moving. His sister and her kids, his charity work at the
homeless shelter, they seemed fairly important to keep going.
But then you have all his friends, his semi-professional
sporting life, his time with the local political branch… he had to give
something up eventually, surely.
And he did. But it was the mistress and embezzlement balls
no-one was seeing…
