Served Cold

The sentiment that revenge is a dish best served cold is interesting, as it’s basically a lie. Or at least, a manipulation.

Those in power, up there in the gold and ivory, they don’t want the lower classes killing themselves over petty slights, we’re no longer useful to most of them in prison, and to even less of them dead. So they let this concept of revenge requires time, and they assume most of us will move on, forget about it, let alone take revenge on them.

And I do agree, actually. Except in your case.
