I’d walked in with ‘one death being a tragedy, a million a
statistic’ on my mind. I knew I had to keep my head, the war needed level
heads, but I didn’t want to become another jaded general who threw lives away
as if they were nothing. These men and women were all people, and I made it my
duty to, if they had to be lost, to make sure it was worth it.
And I have, I think. I’ve tried my hardest not to waste a
single of my soldier’s lives…
Wait, the enemy? Who cares about those savages?
