Every time she entered the cockpit, usually halfway through the flight to or from London, she'd ask me about a certain indicator light, or asking if something was engaged that shouldn't be, or vice versa.
At first, I assumed she was trying to get a grip on how everything worked. But then given how she asked, I realised she was trying to keep me on my toes. So I learnt the right words and tone to satisfy her while not actually looking at whatever she was talking about.
That's why I didn't see the decent warning light flashing, Your Honor.
