The odds of the ice patch being large enough to cause the
car to lose traction but small enough to not be seen were pretty high.
The chances that a passing truck would turn their high beams
on at the exact moment to blind the driver? They are pretty astronomical as
well.
The likelihood of the barrier failing when the car hit it
was a lot lower than it should have been, but even so, they also made it that
much more unlikely.
So overall, it was a miracle that the accident happened.
