The fire burned.
I watched it, enjoying the dance of the flames, the ebb and flow, rise and fall.
But all too soon, the fire stopped dancing and started dying. So I looked for more to feed it.
I found a few pieces of wood, and fed the flames, but it wasn't enough, not for flames worthy of the fire.
So I improvised, and grabbed anything that would burn, some bound papers, anything that would help.
The fire burned once more.
But then the alarm went off and I was forced to leave the fire behind, temporarily.
It caught up.
